ONE of Scotland's top civil servants will deliver a lecture in Moray later this week.
Sir Peter Housden, the Permanent Secretary to the Scottish Government, will be the guest at Moray College UHI on Thursday (February 20 at the Alexander Graham Bell Centre.
The lecture is part of the Institute of Directors Lecture series and starts at 4pm.
Sir Peter will talk about leadership and how he has used this in his career.
He leads more than 5000 civil servants working for the Scottish Government and is principal policy adviser to Scotland’s First Minister and Secretary to the Cabinet.
He is also the Principal Accountable Officer for the Scottish Government, with personal responsibility for the propriety and regularity of Government finance and for economic, efficient and effective use of all related resources.
Sir Peter is a member of the Scottish Leaders Forum, which drives work to deliver improvements across public services in Scotland. At a UK level, Sir Peter is a member of the Civil Service Board.
