THE hard work and determination of students on a new acting and theatre performance course in Moray will take to the stage Thursday and Friday.
Thirteen students have undertaken the brand-new National Certificate course, delivered by Out of the Darkness Theatre Company at Moray College UHI, working on a range of units including acting, movement and voice; contemporary Scottish theatre; performing arts industry and preparation for audition.
The students will perform a range of traditional, contemporary and original works to showcase their skills over two nights in Elgin Town Hall.
Course leader Tina McGeever said: "The students have worked very well under the direction and guidance of local professional actor and lecturer Garry Collins.
"We are delighted with their progress and this showcase will provide an opportunity for them to share their talents with a wider audience."
The showcase will run tonight (Thursday) and March 22 from 7.30pm and admission is £3. The performances are for over 15s only.
The NC course, run in collaboration with Moray College UHI will welcome a new set of students in September and audition techniques workshops are being held for anyone interested in finding out more. The events will be held in ODTC offices at 149 High Street, Elgin on Monday, March 24 and Wednesday, March 27 from 7-9pm. Places can be booked on 01343 544 911.
