Thieves target sheds in Elgin

THEFTS from two sheds in Elgin have prompted police to issue an appeal for witnesses.

According to police, the first shed was broken into in the Cooper Park area of Elgin. The second saw a greenkeeper's shed at Elgin Golf Club targeted.

Both break-ins took place between Friday January 11, and Monday January 14.

A small amount of industrial equipment was stolen as a result of the incidents, according to police, which was worth "a mid three-figure sum".

Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously, or who may have more information, has been asked to phone Grampian Police on 0845 600 5700, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if wishing to remain anonymous.
