Weather closes schools in Moray

WINTRY weather has closed a number of schools in Moray and created problems on the roads for motorists.

Heavy snowfall overnight has led to hazardous conditions on the roads and police have urged drivers to be careful.

The A939 Cockbridge to Tomintoul is one of the roads closed by snow.

Many other routes are badly affected by snow.

Crossroads, Mortlach in Dufftown and Rothiemay Primary Schools have all been closed due to the weather, as has the Dufftown Pre-School Centre.

More snow is forecast for later today and the police are advising people to check the latest roads information before setting off. Information can be found at www.trafficscotland.org
