POLICE in Moray are investigating the theft of four wheels from a Land Rover that was parked on the side of the road.
Officers are appealing for information to get to the bottom of the theft, which took place earlier this week on an unclassified road near Dallas.
The wheels, which are worth "a mid three-figure sum" according to police, were stolen between 11.30am last Sunday (January 20) and 11am the following morning.
A police spokesman said the Land Rover Freelander was parked at the side of the road at the time the crime was committed.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time, or who may have noticed anyone near the vehicle, is asked to phone police on 0845 600 5700 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if wishing to remain anonymous.
