MORAY woke up to a snow blanket this morning as winter delivered an icy blast.
Just a week after record temperatures for March, huge snowfall overnight has left Moray shivering.
Motorists were advised to take care on the roads.
The A939 Grantown on Spey Dava Road is closed due to snow and other roads are passable only with care.
The snow gates on the Cockbridge to Tomintoul road are closed.
Trains between Inverness and Aberdeen were also delayed by half an hour due to the wintry conditions.
Some homes in the Elgin area were left without electricity following the heavy snow.
