ELGIN City could have a cash boost in the can.

Their supporters have so far collected the third highest total of Irn Bru cans and could be in line for a cash boost for youth development between £5,000 and £10,000.

The final results are due to be announced next Wednesday.

Total dejection - Ross Jack after Saturday's defeat. 'SOUL destroying' was how Ross Jack described Elgin City's last minute play-off defeat against Albion Rovers on Saturday. A deflected 89th minute winner took the Coatbridge side into the Division 2 play-off final at Elgin's expense. Rovers' 2-0 win left a number of shattered Elgin players on their knees at the full time whistle, and manager Jack admitted it has been a tough experience for his team.

Flying the new flag at Buckpool Golf Sports and Social Club (from left) are John Adam (club secretary), Peter Cowie (honorary president) and Alex Smith (club captain). THERE'S much more than just golf played at Buckpool Golf Club and they have changed their name to reflect that. It will now be known as the Buckpool Golf, Sports and Social Club.
