Elgin's new loan signing Mark Durnan

ROSS Jack hailed his Elgin City Broadwood braves for digging deep to end their poor away run with a 2-1 win at Clyde.

The City boss said his players overcame a delayed arrival in Cumbernauld due to a crash on the A9, and dreadful weather conditions to pull off a great victory.

Two goals in two second half minutes by Daniel Moore and sub Mark Durnan overturned Clyde's half time lead given to them by a cruel own goal by Elgin captain David Niven.

Elgin keeper Zander Clark was sent off ILLNESS and injury has left Elgin City manager Ross Jack with a goalkeeping crisis ahead of their midweek trip to Clyde. Regular number one Zander Clark was forced to play in Saturday's 3-0 win over Alloa despite suffering from the effects of sickness and diarrhoea.

Cammy Keith in action for the Maroons. FORRES Mechanics crashed to a second straight league defeat when Wick beat them 3-2 in Caithness. But the damage of the loss was cushioned by news that leaders Cove Rangers could only draw at home to Keith.
