All football cancelled in Moray

ALL Saturday’s football matches involving Moray teams have been postponed due to the weather.Jamie Lennox, No 10, stabs the ball into the Lossiemouth net in the last minute to seal the points for Keith.

Lossiemouth’s Highland League visit to Nairn County was the latest Highland League game to fail a pitch inspection at 8.30 on Saturday morning.

The Keith v Buckie Thistle, Strathspey Thistle v Forres Mechanics, Rothes v Inverurie Locos and Turriff United v Huntly matches were all called off on Friday.

Elgin City’s Division 3 match against Queen’s Park fell by the wayside on Friday afternoon.

The full Highland League programme was affected, with only Clach v Brora Rangers surviving the Saturday morning inspections. It will undergo a second inspection in mid morning.

Moray’s junior sides have also been wiped out of action, with all clubs idle due to frozen parks across the north.
