ROTHES put up a battling show against a strong Ross County side before losing 4-0 in their first big pre-season friendly on Tuesday.

Ally MacKenzie put Elgin ahead at the break, but Colin Charlesworth grabbed a draw for the home side with a goal in the final minute.
