BUCKIE Thistle boss Gary Hake hopes lightning can strike twice and his Jags dump Annan Athletic in a Scottish Cup replay.
The Highland League side couldn't find a way past an Annan side reduced to ten men in the second half when Steven Sloan was shown a straight red card for an elbowing offence.
Jamie Shewan, Craig Macmillan and Donnie Munro all spurned good chances to score and Chris Angus had a 'goal' ruled out for offside.
However, a draw was a fair result after Annan dominated the opening 45 minutes and but for the brilliance of goalkeeper Kevin Main, could have had the game wrapped up.
He twice pulled off super stops and again denied Peter Weatherson after the break to ensure the game remained goalless.
Buckie boss Gary Hake said: "I am proud of my players' effort. Annan are on a strong run and they are a good side.
"The players are saying Chris Angus' goal was never offside. we could have done better in the final third with the chances but we are still in the hat for the third round.
"Kevin had a couple of fantastic saves as were our back line.
"We'll go down there with confidence. We did it last season and I am confident we can do it again.
"We can play better and didn't play as well as we have been playing."
The replay at Galabank will be in two weeks time as Annan have a Ramsdens Cup semi-final against Raith Rovers next weekend.
