Buckie boss targets derby double

Jags host Lossiemouth on Saturday before visiting the Coasters a week later, with manager Gary Hake keen to pick up maximum points over the holiday period.

He watched his team make uncharacteristic defensive mistakes against an on-form Cove side who made them pay with some devastating finishing.

Now Hake wants his men to come up with a positive response against Lossie, starting with the first meeting at Victoria Park this weekend.

“That was our heaviest defeat of the season, and I was disappointed with the way we went about things,” said the manager. But we’ll move on and try to regain the momentum we had gathered before this defeat. The next two games against Lossiemouth are now massively important.”

Losing 4-1 in a match where they had plenty of possession and some good chances was tough to take for Hake, who insisted Saturday’s result flattered their Aberdeen opponents.
