Buckie land tasty Talbot test

BUCKIE Thistle have landed a tough trip to face crack junior side Auchinleck Talbot in the William Hill Scottish Cup.William Hill Scottish Cup

Tuesday’s first round draw handed Moray’s other four clubs home draws.

But Jags long journey to Ayrshire to take on ten-time Scottish Junior Cup winners Talbot is the hardest of all.

The West Superleague Premier Division champions reached the fourth round of the senior Scottish Cup three years ago, losing 1-0 to Premier Division Hearts.

Forres Mechanics appear to have landed the best draw of all Moray teams, as they will host Civil Service Strollers.

Rothes are at home to Aberdeen juniors Banks O’Dee, while both Keith and Lossiemouth are involved in all-Highland League ties.

Keith take on Formartine United while Lossie will welcome to Grant Park a Turriff side managed by former Elgin City manager Ross Jack.

All first round ties will be played on Saturday, September 13.
