Cup semi incentive for Buckie and Keith

A PLACE in the Morrison Motors Aberdeenshire Shield semi finals is the midweek target for Keith and Buckie Thistle.Jamie Lennox, No 10, stabs the ball into the Lossiemouth net in the last minute to seal the points for Keith.

Buckie will host Aberdeen juniors Banks O’ Dee on Tuesday night (8.00), aiming to earn a visit to Cove Rangers in the last four.

The Jags beat Fraserburgh 4-3 in a thrilling first round tie last week.

Keith were equally impressive in coming back from 2-0 down to thump Deveronvale 5-2 in Banff last week.

Their reward is a home quarter-final against holders Turriff United on Wednesday night (8.00), with the winners of that match away to Formartine United.

There is also a busy midweek programme of Highland League games, including a clash between champions Forres and title favourites Formartine at Mosset Park on Wednesday.

Huntly host Deveronvale, Cove take on Fraserburgh, Fort William visit Nairn County and Wick are at home to Turriff, also on Wednesday.
