Disappointment for City fans

ELGIN City fans who made the long journey to Stirling on Saturday were left disappointed.

Disappointment for Ross Jack and the Elgin fans.

The Black and Whites game against Stirling Albion at Forthbank was postponed just 15 minutes before kick off.

A waterlogged pitch was behind the decision as torrential wind and rain swept across Scotland.

Annan's home game with Queens Park in League Two was also postponed due to high winds.

High winds saw the Queen of the South v Falkirk game in the Championship abandoned after 27 minutes, while Partick Thistle v St Johnstone in the Premiership was abandoned at half-time due to a waterlogged pitch.

And Rangers visit to Ochilview to face Stenhousemuir, due to be played at 5.30pm on Saturday, was postponed two hours before kick off following structural damage to a temporary stand after the ground was buffeted by 60mph winds.

Buckie Thistle's Highland League clash with leaders Brora Rangers was abandoned after 27 minutes due to high winds, with the game goalless.
