DEFENDER Jamie Duff admits Elgin will have to "roll up their sleeves and get going".
After a disappointing defeat at home to Albion Rovers to open the League Two season, Duff is keen to put it right at East Stirling on Saturday.
Duff admitted he and Sean Crighton were at fault for what proved to be the winning goal for Rovers in the 2-1 win at Borough Briggs.
The former Inverness CT defender was captain for the day against Albion with David Niven sidelined by a broken nose.
Duff admits that injury and suspension has played havoc with City’s back four in recent seasons.
"It happened a lot last season; if it wasn’t me injured, it was Twiggy (Mark Nicolson) or Niv injured."
Nicolson has not featured this season due to a problem stomach injury and is awaiting an MRI scan to determine the extent of the problem.
Losing fellow central defender Crighton to a red card last weekend will necessitate another change at the back this weekend, although Niven could be back for the game at East Stirling.
"We will just need to roll the sleeves up and get going again," said Duff, who hopes the revival begins at Ochilview.
