ROSS Jack believes he has pulled off an Elgin City transfer coup by persuading veteran goal-grabber Dennis Wyness to join the club.
Wyness will be joined by Montrose centre back Sean Crighton, who has also agreed a move to Borough Briggs.
And with current City star Daniel Moore becoming the latest player to confirm a new deal with the club, it has been a good week of business for manager Jack.
Experienced front man Wyness (35) was poised to join Elgin from Peterhead a year ago after training with the Moray outfit, but instead stayed with the Buchan men when he moved house to Aberdeen.
Now he has left Balmoor and turned down big money Highland League offers to continue his career in the SFL with Elgin.
“We’ve agreed terms with Dennis and it’s a great capture for us,” Jack revealed. “He will bring us a lot of experience, and with his great technique in and around the box he can finish off some of the chances we create. His goal record speaks for itself.
