Elgin City manager Ross Jack.

The former Peterhead number one produced a string of fine saves in Wednesday's 1-0 defeat against Ally McCoist's men at Borough Briggs.

Jack has already signed former Strathspey Thistle midfielder Ali Mackenzie on a two year deal and is ready to offer Jellema a contract.

“I've been impressed with him in the last three games,” Ross said of the keeper. “He made some great saves tonight.”

Ex-Clach striker Sam Urquhart, former Georgian youth international Dachi Khutsishvili and attacker Nicky Little also appeared as trialists in the 'Gers defeat.

But it was Jellema who caught the eye with three good stops from Lee McCulloch and saves from Robbie McCulloch and Jon Daly.

McCoist changed his entire team at the break after a goal-less first half, and winger Fraser Aird was the man who made the breakthrough with a solo effort on 63 minutes.
