'Elvis' bags Coventry job

ELGIN-born football boss Steven Pressley has landed the vacant managerial post at English League One side Coventry City.

Pressley (38) accepted the job at the Midlands club just days after guiding Scottish Division 1 Falkirk to the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Nicknamed 'Elvis' in footballing circles, he was born in Moray before moving south, and carving out a successful playing career which included 32 international caps for Scotland.

Pressley had the distinction of playing for both Old Firm rivals, Rangers and Celtic, as well as spells at Dundee United and Hearts.

He played for Coventry during his career, before returning to Scotland in a £750,000 transfer to Dundee United.
