Forres go for seventh heaven

FORRES Mechanics are aiming to climbing into seventh spot in the Highland League table with victory at bottom club Fort William.

The Cans make the midweek trip to Lochaber on Wednesday, knowing a win could take them above Buckie and Wick in the rankings.

Lossiemouth are hoping to continue good recent form when they host Cove rangers, while Rothes are at home to Fraserburgh with all Wednesday kick offs 8pm.

Fraserburgh lost 1-0 in their last league outing at Formartine United in a match captured by the SHFLtv cameras (see below).

Meanwhile Brora Rangers have accepted their fate of being thrown out of this year’s Breedons Aggregates Highland League Cup.

The Sutherland outfit were dismissed from the competition for fielding an ineligible player in their first round win against Clach.

They will not be seeking any legal action in relation to the decision, and instead Clach progress and play a first round match against Deveronvale on Wednesday night for the right to host Rothes in the last eight.

Other league games this Wednesday see Brora visit derby rivals Wick and Strathspey Thistle host Huntly.
