FORRES Mechanics showed their powers of recovery with a come-from-behind point at Deveronvale on Wednesday night.
Goals from the Charlesworth brothers, Martin and Colin, had Deveronvale 2-0 up at the break.
Rowley said: “I thought that was undeserved because we had played really well and had a lot of good possession. We got an unlucky break of the ball for the first goal and we were caught a bit square for the second.
“I told them to keep doing the same things and we scored two cracking goals in the second half through Lee Fraser and Kyle Scott. I thought a draw was the least we deserved.”
With back to back games against Wick and Cove, two of the four teams in contention, Forres could yet have a say in who takes their Highland League crown.
The aim for Rowley is to cement a top six finish.
“Top six would be nothing in comparison to last season but it would still be decent given the number of players we have had missing with injuries this season.”
