A SHOCK defeat for the Forres and Nairn welfare leaders has brought three teams back into the title race.Moray welfare

Carisbrooke crashed 2-1 at home to Uncle Bobs last week, giving their nearest rivals a chance to wrestle for the AJG Parcels League trophy.

Carlton and Jackos are now breathing down the table toppers’ necks, but it is fourth placed Elgin Thistle who will claim the championship if they will all their remaining fixtures.

Steven Rattray’s strike put ‘Brookie in front in their penultimate match against visitors Uncle Bobs, but the Nairn outfit hit back with two strikes to nick all three points.

The Forres side are now three points ahead of Carlton, who have a game in hand, and four ahead of champions Jackos who also have a fixture to catch up on the leaders.

Fourth placed Elgin Thistle won 2-1 at Mosset Tavern, and sit five points behind Carisbrooke with still three matches to play.
