FORRES defender Graeme Grant is keeping his fingers crossed that a worrying knee injury is not a serious one.
The veteran stopper is entering his 11th year at Mosset Park, spread over two spells, and wants to be at the heart of a Forres resurgence this season after a disappointing campaign last term.
However, Grant (35) has been unable to play much part in pre-season games so far due to the knee injury.
“It seems to be getting better slowly but I am still waiting on a scan to see exactly what’s wrong,” he said.
With manager Charlie Rowley on holiday for a fortnight, coach Russell McFee will be in charge of the team for the home friendly against Hermes today (Saturday), the trip to junior side Grantown on Tuesday night (7.30pm) and a visit to Deveronside next Saturday July 26 (2pm).
