HUNTLY suffered Aberdeenshire Shield extra time heartache in new boss Gregg Carrol’s first match in charge.
Former Buckie manager Carrol was in charge for the first time in Wednesday night’s semi final away derby rivals Inverurie Locos.
There were plenty thrills and spills for the fans at Harlaw Park in a keenly contested match which was captured by SHFLtv cameras (see highlights below).
The teams were locked at 1-1 after 90 minutes, but in extra time Huntly were reduced to nine men as both david Booth and Marek Madle were shown straight red cards.
Locos booked their place in the final against Cove Rangers with a winning goal from ex-Keith midfielder Dean Donaldson.
New manager Carrol also tasted defeat in his first league game as Huntly boss on Saturday, a 3-2 loss at Wick Academy.
