Jack aims for seven points

FORGET slippers, socks or handkerchiefs; a third consecutive home win is Ross Jack’s ideal Christmas present.

City welcome East Stirling to Borough Briggs on Saturday for a festive clash brought forward from Boxing Day.

And after the disappointment of seeing last weekend’s game at Stirling Albion postponed just 10 minutes before kick-off due to a waterlogged pitch, Jack hopes his players can wrap up another three points on home soil.

The manager is targeting seven points from a festive triple header of East Stirling at home followed by tough trips to Annan Athletic (December 28) and Peterhead (January 2).

A return of that kind would undoubtedly put City right in the mix heading into 2014.

"If we can keep our decent run going we will be right in the thick of things," he said.

Jack urged the fans to come out in force on Saturday to give the players plenty of encouragement as they bid to give them a real Christmas tonic of a third straight win.
