A WONDER goal by Aaron Conway was the highlight of a thrilling 2-2 draw between Buckie Thistle and champions Cove Rangers.
The former Livingston, Peterhead and Dundee United winger also set up Craig Macmillan for Buckie's second.
However, the Jags could not hang onto the lead in the first half or after the break.
Cove levelled before the interval through former Inverness Caley player Roy McBain and equalised in the second half when Lewis MacKinnon headed Jamie Lennox's shot beyond his own keeper.
Said Conway: "I thought we deserved the three points."
It was a thrilling game for the fans at Victoria Park and Buckie were fired up for this clash after losing 3-2 to Cove on Wednesday night in the Aberdeenshire Cup.
It was a great spectacle and a thoroughly entertaining game which could have gone either way.
There was a red card late on for Cove defender Eric Watson for elbowing MacKinnon; however, the Buckie defender was also dismissed after he was shown a second yellow for pulling Watson's shirt in the same incident.
Buckie boss Gary Hake said: "I was pleased with the effort of the players. Both teams had chances to win it but I thought we had the better chances."
