LEAGUE leaders Wick Academy steamrollered Keith 6-1 at Kynoch Park.

Barry Wilson's side extended their lead at the top of the table to five points with the win, although chasing pair Formartine and Cove have games in hand.

Wick led 4-0 at half-time thanks to goals from Lukasz Geruzel (24, 25), Steven Cunningham (32) and Richard Macadie (36).

They underlined their superiority with further goals from Michael Steven and David Allan before Jonathan Smith grabbed a late consolation for Darren Still's side.

Forres Mechanics had a good 3-1 win at Fort William, with Scott Moore and Simon Allan from the penalty spot making it 2-0 at half-time. Ryan Mackintosh added a third before Fort pulled one back through Andy McLean.

Buckie were 2-0 up at Inverurie Locos at the interval with Nikki Smith and Jamie Shewan scoring midway through the half. However, late goals from Craig Ross and Steven Park earned a share of the points for the home side.

Rothes' nightmare continued as they were thumped 9-1 for the second game in succession, this time Brora Rangers hammering Frani More's side.

Kevin Shortreed's first half goal was little consolation for the Speysiders who have now conceded 99 goals in 26 league games.

Huntly went down 0-3 at home to title chasers Cove Rangers at Christie Park and had Mike Clark sent off late on.

After a goalless first half, Lossiemouth crashed 3-0 at Turriff Utd.

Elsewhere, Nairn County won by a similar scoreline at Strathspey Thistle and Deveronvale beat Fraserburgh 2-1 at Princess Royal Park.
