BUCKIE Thistle have the chance to leapfrog Moray rivals Keith in the Highland League table on Wednesday night.
Gary Hake’s Jags visit Strathspey Thistle knowing a victory could put them back in the top ten at the expense of Keith, who visit high flying Cove Rangers on the same night.
Buckie will be without strikers Nikki Smith (suspended) and Shawn Scott (injured) for their Grantown trip, while Donnie Munro is still out with a back injury.
Keith are aiming to bounce back from a 6-1 home defeat to leaders Wick on Saturday when they travel to Cove, who are unbeaten at home this season.
Lossiemouth are also away to a title challenging team as manager Stevie Dunn pits his wits against his former club Clach in Inverness.
Saturday sees sixteen clubs in action in the Breedon Aggregates Highland League Cup, while the Highland League have added five more midweek fixtures to next week’s card (March 20).
Three Moray teams are on the road, with Forres Mechanics at Deveronvale, Buckie meeting Formartine United and Keith taking on Turriff United.
Clach v Nairn and Cove v Fraserburgh are the other two matches being played that evening, with all midweek kick offs at 8pm.
