RANGERS boss Ally McCoist looks certain to have his players fired up for their visit to Elgin this weekend.
The Ibrox legend admitted last weekend's defeat to Annan Athletic in Glasgow was unacceptable.
And if his players think they just have to turn up to be handed the third division title, McCoist said they must think again.
Rangers are 17 points clear of second placed Queen's Park and it is just a matter of when they wrap up the title. However, the 2-1 defeat to Annan was their first setback in the league at Ibrox.
However, speaking on the club's website, McCoist admitted: "The players are very aware that that level of performance and the result is not good enough. It’s the first home defeat of the season and it’s a really sore one.
“If one or two of us thought it was just a case of turning up and some one will shake your hand and give you your SFL3 winners medal in the next couple of weeks that certainly will not be the case.”
Elgin claimed a point at Ibrox at the beginning of January and after their win at Peterhead last weekend, Ross Jack's men will go into the Sky game full of confidence.
