RANGERS boss Ally McCoist admits Saturday's trip to Elgin will be a hard game.
The third division leaders have taken some flak following their defeat to Annan last weekend.
However, the Ibrox gaffer has also praised his players for being in such a strong position in the third division.
“Criticism goes with the territory at Rangers. The one thing that is guaranteed when you play at a club like Rangers is that when things are going well you will get a pat on the back and when things don’t go well you’ll get a slap on the back and it’s how you handle both," he told the official Rangers website.
“There has been a level of criticism aimed at everyone at the club and that’s fair comment. We have to take it.
“Now we are working hard towards a very big game at Elgin this weekend.
“Overall the guys have done really well to get us into a fantastic position and that was the main aim at the start of the campaign."
Elgin go into the game on a real high following their north derby win at Peterhead last weekend.
