Rangers fever growing in Forres

SCOTTISH Cup fever is growing in Forres ahead of the big match with Rangers on Saturday.

The Highland League champions will face the Glasgow giants in the second round match at Mosset Park.

A capacity 2,751 crowd will witness the game, with Forres bidding to pull off one of the greatest shocks in the history of the competition.

Despite being in the third division now, Ally McCoist's side still boast international and SPL experienced players in their ranks.

Forres were training three times this week to work on their tactics for the game and manager Charlie Rowley is excited by the challenge.

He said: "We have nothing to lose and Rangers have absolutely everything to lose."

Striker Ryan Green said: "As soon as people start speaking about the game the stomach starts going."

And skipper Ross Macpherson added: "Walking out against Rangers will be fantastic."

To read more from Charlie Rowley, Ryan Green, Ross Macpherson and an exclusive interview with another key player, see the big match build up in 'The Northern Scot' newspaper on Friday.
