CHAMPAGNE was flowing in whisky country when Rothes A regained Moray welfare’s Premier League in a thrilling title decider.
Skipper and top goalscorer Tolga Dagtas held the championship trophy aloft on Sunday after the Speyside outfit won 6-4 at champions and nearest rivals Bishopmill Villa.
It meant joy for Rothes A, and further heartache for champions Bishopmill on top of two recent cup final defeats.
The Elgin side knew victory at Pinefield would bring them the championship for the second year running, and they led at half-time before succumbing to a powerful Rothes response.
A big crowd, including fans of both clubs and players and officials from around the league, made their way to Pinefield for the decider.
