MANAGER Charlie Rowley was threatening to hit the roof as Forres Mechanics switched indoors for training this week.
His mood is darkening with the evenings as his players struggle to move above 12th place in the Highland League – and for defending champions that, says Rowley, is not good enough.
Frustrated at throwing away a two-goal lead to go down 3-2 at home to Inverurie Locos last Saturday, he admitted that his players were in for a "tongue-lashing" at training.
"I won’t be easy on them," he said. "We have to get this form rectified; players have to take a good look at themselves after their performances this year.
A trip to Huntly on Saturday offers the opportunity for redemption, but the Strathbogie side are sitting second, just three points behind Cove Rangers and with two games in hand.
