Sharp horror injury

NATHAN Sharp has revealed the horrific extent of his head injury which saw him stretchered off at Turriff.

The Forres defender has posted a picture of the injury on his Facebook page.

He was injured in the process of scoring for the Mechanics, who came from 2-0 down to win 5-2.

He had to be taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin for treatment.

Lossiemouth pulled  off a shock with a 4-3 win at Keith.

Andy Anderson had put Keith ahead inside the opening 20 minutes before skipper Kevin Flett levelled just before half-time.

Scott Miller fired Lossie ahead and Liam Archibald made it 3-1 just before the hour mark.

Ross Cambpell got one back to make it 3-2 before Ricky Wardrop added a fourth for Lossie. Johnny Cook pulled another one back for Keith who also had Craig McAskill sent off late on.

Rothes, with senior players Kevin Shortreed and Michael Dunn in charge following Graham McBeath's sacking, beat Fort William 5-0.

Scott Dunn scored the only goal of the half three minutes before the break.

Sean McIntosh converted a penalty kick a minute into the second half, and he made it 3-0 just past the hour mark.

Scott Dunn and Stuart Massie added further strikes in the last five minutes of the game.

Buckie Thistle thrashed Strathspey Thistle 7-1 at Victoria Park, which included a hat-trick for Aaron Shand.

The other Jags goals came from Jamie Shewan, Donnie Munro and Nikki Smith (2). Jason Robertson replied for the Grantown side.

Champions Forres Mechanics came from 2-0 down early in their match at Turriff Utd to win 5-2, although they had Nathan Sharp stretchered off in the first half.

Sharp scored in the move that led to him being injured. Further goals from Kyle Scott and Scott Lawrie had Forres ahead at the break.

Lawrie added number four from the penalty spot early in the second half and Ross Archibald completed the scoring in the last minute.

In the other games, Nairn County beat Wick Academy 3-2 thanks to a last minute winner from Connor Gethins, Formartine were 2-1 winners against Brora thanks to two goals from Daniel Park, Cove won 2-0 at Deveronvale and Huntly lost 3-1 at Inverurie Locos.
