ELGIN City's slim promotion hopes suffered another setback as they crashed 3-0 at East Stirling.
Scott Maxwelll put East Stirling ahead eight minutes before the break, firing home from close range after being set up by Mike Herd.
Elgin came close to a leveller with 20 minutes remaining when from a corner David Niven headed against the crossbar.
East Stirling wrapped up the points in the 79th minute when Michael Bolochoweckyj headed home.
And they added some icing on the cake with a third goal eight minjutes from the end when Max Wright blasted home from outside the box.
The result leaves Elgin second bottom of League Two and now ten points adrift of the play off places.
Manager Barry Wilson will be eager to bring in some new faces as soon as he can after naming just four of a possible seven subs.
