VIDEO: Elgin crash in late collapse

ELGIN City threw away a two-goal lead as they lost 3-2 to hosts Berwick Rangers.

Not even two goals by Aberdeen loan teenager Bruce Anderson could guide City to victory on Saturday.

Anderson pounced on his senior starting debut, netting at the start of both halves then missing a chance to complete his hat-trick.

Elgin still led 2-0 with 20 minutes to go but Berwick sub Aaron Murrell came on to change the game.

Murrell scored twice in a ten-minute spell and team-mate Michael McKenna grabbed a winner.

The result pushed City down to seventh in league 2, just three points off the bottom.

Stirling lead the way by four points from Montrose, who are Elgin’s next opponents at Borough Briggs this weekend.
