BARRY Wilson has been confirmed as Elgin City’s new manager.
The 42-year-old was appointed as Ross Jack’s successor following a club meeting at Borough Briggs on Tuesday.
A club statement read: "The board of directors of Elgin City Football Club are pleased to announce, with immediate effect, the appointment of Barry Wilson as manager.
"Barry is well known to both the Board and the fans of Elgin City from his previous involvement with the Club and we look forward to working with him again."
Former Caley Thistle and Ross County player Wilson leaves his current managerial post with Highland League Wick Academy to join Elgin, where he spent two seasons as Jack’s assistant.
He becomes the club’s sixth manager in 14 years of Scottish League football, and will take charge for the first time when Elgin host Albion Rovers on Saturday.
