BARRY Wilson is the new Wick Academy manager.
The former Elgin City no.2 has been appointed as Davie Kirkwood's replacement following his move to Brora Rangers last month.
Former Caley Thistle star Wilson, who is based in Dingwall, stepped down as assistant to Ross Jack at Borough Briggs at the end of last season to concentrate on a new business venture in Dingwall.
However, he had been tempted back into football with his first manager's role.
Caretaker boss Richard Hughes will remain as Wilson's no.2 at Wick.
"I am really excited at the prospect of managing my first club," said Wilson.
"I had two really good years working alongside Ross Jack at Elgin."
