Group to discuss future of tennis in Moray

The future of tennis in Moray will be the topic of discussion at a meeting in Elgin next week.

Moray Tennis Forum are hosting a consultation evening on Tuesday (October 24) at Elgin Library starting at 6pm and continuing until 8.30pm at the latest.

“The evening will be your chance to put your views, ideas, club needs, aspirations across and also hear what others across Moray would like to see happen,” said a forum spokesperson. “This feedback will also provide the MTF a focus for their future development plan.

Members of the Moray group, along with Tennis Scotland say they are keen to engage with local tennis clubs, coaches and enthusiasts of the sport to discuss what we would like to see happen in Moray for the development of tennis.

The proposed Moray Sports Centre has included indoor tennis courts in its plans, eager to be part of

Tennis Scotland’s ‘Ambitious strategy on the back of Murray success’ to exploit title-winning Scottish exploits in the sport in recent years.

Moray Tennis Forum added that they would like to see representatives from all Moray tennis clubs as well as PE teachers, Active Schools from both primary and secondary schools, coaches, players and interested parents.
