BEING crowned a discus double Scottish champion made Mosstodloch marvel Dionne Milne the talk of Milne’s High.
Yet the 14-year-old Moray Road Runner wasn’t even entirely happy with her performance in grabbing two national honours at Grangemouth last weekend.
Milne overcame flash flooding in the Central Belt on Saturday to defeat opponents more than two years older than her and claim the Scottish under-18 female discus title.
A day later, she returned to the arena to triumph in the 16 and under competition, throwing more than five metres further than her nearest competitor.
Fellow MRR competitors Callum Alexander and Lauren Bell also won Scottish titles in Grangemouth. Alexander (15) threw a personal best of 45.63 metres in the 16 and under javelin, while Bell (12) won the 75m hurdles and won medals in two other events.
