You can't cap singing Flower of Scotland!

RUPERT Holt was the pride of Moray Titans Rugby League Club last weekend when he became its first player to represent Scotland.

Holt (26) made his Scotland A debut in a 36-16 win over Wales A in a Four Nations match at Falkirk.

The marine engineer, who came off the bench late in the first-half, admitted it was a proud moment.

“It was great, especially at the start when we were singing ‘Flower of Scotland’,” he said.

Huntly-based Holt has been with the Titans, who play at the Doocot Park in Elgin, for the last two seasons.

The rugby league season has finished now but there will be no let up in his rugby commitments as he goes straight into rugby union for Huntly.

After a good season with the fledgling Titans, the club put him forward for Scotland trials.
