A MICRO-BUDGET thriller premiered at Inverness-based creative industries festival goNorth is to be released online.
TimeLock is a minimalist, psychological thriller about a botched robbery and a safe that will not open, shot in Glasgow and Dumfries.
Written and directed by Glasgow-based, BAFTA-nominated David Griffith, it stars rising acting talent Alton Milne (36) from Auchterarder and John C. Gilmour (43) from Glasgow.
The first in a planned series of five "Tartan Noir" thrillers, TimeLock aims to demonstrate that Scottish feature films can now be filmed, edited and distributed at low cost thanks to advances in compact digital cameras, digital post production and new social-media based distribution systems like Distrify.
TimeLock will be released online from Saturday 24th August on Vimeo Pro and Distrify, but the release is also being launched with a special screening at Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) on Friday.
It can be found through Vimeo at https://vimeo.com/49771511 and the film’s own website, www.timelockthemovie.com
A YouTube version will be up shortly.
