ONE of the hits of last year’s Loopallu Festival, English alt.folk band The Moulettes return to the Highlands with a show at Inverness venue The Ironworks on Friday 21st November.
Formed in Glastonbury in 2002 The Moulettes have been compared to a wide range of acts from The Kronos Quartet to Midlake.
As songwriter, cellist and front singer Hannah Miller notes, "People have listened to Moulettes and heard Shostakovich, Miles Davis, Pentangle, Pink Floyd, Bjork and even Skrillex. That is where we’ve all come from…everyone shares in over 80 years of recorded music history."
They have also been nominated for Best Group in the BBC’s Alternative BRIT Awards 2013 and won the Best Group title at both the Fatea Awards and Spiral Earth Awards.
Their third studio album, Constellations, was released in June and have a busy summer of festival dates and tour in Europe before heading north for their Highland date this autumn.
Tickets for the Inverness show are on sale on Friday 12th July from 10am.
