The Eagle Bar in Inverness has announced the names squaring up for Highland Battle Of The Bands in January.
There are 18 acts entered and set to play across every Friday and Saturday in January.
The semi finals are set for January 23 and 24 with the final on January 31.
The winning band will receive a package consisting of the chance to record a single at Gargleblast Studios in Hamilton with established producer Andy Miller (Mogwai, The Fratellis) plus a professional music video to be filmed by Charlie Wilson.
The competition will be judged by a pool of local tastemakers and musicians over the five-week period of the contest.
Eagle Bar booker Stu Thain said: “This is a great opportunity for young emerging acts in the Highlands to get involved and we are delighted at The Eagle to provide.
"But the most important thing is that we want all the acts taking part to enjoy the event and have fun playing.”
