SINGER Pete Doherty has left his Inverness fans disappointed after he called off tonight’s scheduled Ironworks appearance with only hours notice.
It is the singer’s second successive cancelled show after he also called off last night’s planned Glasgow appearance at the O2 ABC at short notice.
The only explanation given was that Doherty had pulled out of both shows due to "unforeseen circumstances".
"It’s disappointing and it’s just unfortunate that Pete Doherty has not been able to appear at The Ironworks this evening," a venue spokesman said.
The two dates were Doherty’s only UK appearances booked before the end of 2012.
Doherty, who first found fame with The Libertines before forming his second band Babyshambles, has also been the regular target of media interest over his on-going addiction problems and brushes with the law which have resulted in a number of short prison terms.
Ticket holders should contact The Ironworks box office to ask for a refund.
