A singer from Lochaber is one of five acts shortlisted for the TMF (Tiree Music Festival) Unsigned competition.
From Lochaline, singer-songwriter Shanine Gallagher's "acoustic guitar and haunting melodies" helped her win through from the original 150-plus acts who entered the competition to the last five.
The winner of the competition - featuring acts including including Roddy Woomble & Band, Eddi Reader, Dougie MacLean and Skerryvore - will get to open the sold-out festival on Friday, July 18.
If you want to vote for Shanine, you have until noon on Tuesday (July 1) to take part by going to www.facebook.com/Tiree-Music-Festival
Scottish radio personality, Jim Gellatly - dubbed ‘The voice of new music in Scotland’ - will face the task of choosing his favourite act from the runners up who will then go on to perform the opening slot for the Sunday bill.
