INVERNESS/EDINBURGH band Homework are offering a taste of their forthcoming debut album with the release of new single "It’s All Over".
Now available on iTunes, the single is a taster for the album "13 Towers", which is released on Monday 25th March.
The track has already won praise from musician and BBC Radio 6Music DJ Tom Robinson, who called it: "Fresh and original — one of the best sounding records I’ve heard all month."
Formed in Edinburgh in 2009, Homework comprises Inverness brothers Oliver (vocals, synths) and Richard Kass, along with Ross Baird (vocals, guitar, synths) and Alistair Dennis (bass).
The band quickly picked up airplay from BBC Radio One and BBC 6Music as well as being selected to play the renowned T Break stage at T in the Park festival after only a handful of live shows.
Since then, the band’s other festival appearances have including RockNess, Belladrum, Wickerman and T in the Park, and they have been showcased at industry events including goNorth, Glimps (Belgium) and Wide Days. Their recorded output and live shows have been consistently praised by radio presenters such as Lauren Laverne, Vic Galloway, Tom Robinson and Ally McCrae, and by bloggers and journalists.
The release of the album will accompanied by a string of live dates across the country, including Netsounds Unsigned Takeover night at Mad Hatters, Inverness on Friday 5th April and the Brew At The Bog Festival at Bogbain Farm on Saturday 4th May.
