ACCLAIMED singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading is adding Findhorn to the venues she will be visiting on her final major — and first solo — tour.
Armatrading appears at The Universal Hall, Findhorn, on Monday 22nd September, almost a month before her previously announced Inverness show at Eden Court Theatre on Sunday 19th October.
Her performances will include songs that span a career of over 40 years.
"I will never retire but this will be the last major tour that I will undertake," Armatrading stated.
"For the first time these concerts will be me solo on stage playing the guitar, piano and singing. I want these concerts to be a special lively interactive one to one experience. I have absolutely enjoyed the last 42 years of performances but now, with my final major tour, I want to capture a unique memory for both myself and the audience."
Expect the set list to include hits Love and Affection, Willow, Drop The Pilot and Me, Myself I as Armatrading looks back on a career that has covered pop, blues, folk, reggae and jazz, seen her nominated for Grammy and Brit Awards, win an Ivor Novella Award as a producer, as well as being appointed an MBE for services to music.
Tickets for her Findhorn show are on sale on Friday 28th February at 10am and are available online from www.ticketmaster.co.uk, in person from Universal Hall and by telephone on 08444 999 990.
