With a yearful of dates behind them, The View devote the rest of 2013 to getting the love back out to their Scottish fans with live shows over the next few weeks including the Ironworks, Inverness, next Thursday.

Then it'll be heads down to get on with the new as yet unnamed album.

Bassist and co-songwriter Kieren Webster doesn't hesitate when asked for a few of his personal best moments in the band's set at the moment: "We played it last night again - Up The Junction!"

1 Squeeze cover and live favourite Up The Junction

2 Face For The Radio

Kieren: "I enjoy it when Kyle does a couple his own, Face For The Radio and Tacky Tattoo. We can sit back and watch him."

This version of Face For The Radio was recorded at T-Pot Studios in 2005.

3 Tacky Tattoo

Here's the official video for the song, third single off fourth album Cheeky For A Reason out in 2012. But below that ...

... watch singer Kyle Falconer recording the vocal for Tacky Tattoo last year in Liverpool.

4 Superstar Tradesman at T In The Park back in July

Kieren: "In the set, we get to a bit called the 'home straight', not because it's finishing, but it's favourites like Superstar Tradesman."

The band's performance from the summer's T In The Park was among Kieren's favourite high-spots of the year. Find an interview with Kieren when you pick up a copy of this week's Highland News and upcoming Inverness Courier.

5 The Velveteen Saints Runaway (demo) and Miss You live

The Scottish band which has already headlined T Break, is back in Inverness (they supported Tim Burgess earlier this year) to continue to support The View on tour. They've already got a big fan in Kieren: "They're my new favourite band. I try and watch them every night before we go on."

The band - who played goNorth in June - bring out their debut single in February on Tim Burgess’ Ogenesis record label. Here's a video demo they released online last month plus below that ...

... live at the Wickerman Festival this summer.

The View and The Velveteen Saints play Inverness Ironworks next Thursday (December 19). For more on the band go to // // And keep up with the Velveteen Saints on Facebook: on Twitter @VelveteenSaints and on Soundcloud :
