RECENTLY seen on the main stage at Belladrum, London singer-songwriter King Charles makes a quick return to the Highlands with an appearance at The Ironworks in Inverness on Sunday 15th September.
A classically trained singer who also plays the guitar, piano, and cello, King Charles began writing songs when he was 17, and in 2009, he became the first Briton to win the International Songwriting Competition in Nashville, doing so by unanimous vote.
The competition was judged by Tom Waits, Jeff Beck, Loretta Lynn and Jerry Lee Lewis, and following this victory King Charles was signed by Universal Republic/Island.
His short lived band, Adventure Playground, toured with Laura Marling and Noah and the Whale before disbanding in 2008 and he has also toured the UK and USE as support for Mumford and Sons.
His debut album, Loveblood, which was recorded in Hollywood, California, was released last year.
Ticket for his Inverness show, priced £8, are available now from The Ironworks box office and website.
